Landing gear Flashcards
Landing gear hydraulic pressure
Max 1850
Pump cycles at 1600
How to recover from a compressor stall?
Advance power, lower angle of attack
Main tire pressure
70psi
Nose wheel psi
55 psi
Shock strut limit height
3 inches
How is the landing gear operated?
The gear is electrically controlled and hydraulically actuated.
How is the gear held in the down position?
Internal/mechanical down locks
Spring loaded down locks
Folding braces or “Drag Legs”
How is the gear held up?
The gear is held in the up position by hydraulic pressure.
How is hydraulic pressure supplied?
Through a hydraulic power pack
Where is the hydraulic reservoir located?
Left center wing section
What does the power pack consist of?
Hydraulic pump
28-VDC motor
Reservoir
Four way gear selector valve
Solenoid
Fluid level sensor
Unlock pressure switch
Hydraulic pressure range
1850
If pressure drops below 1600, pump recharges pressure back to 1850
What conditions will light the in-transit gear light?
Gear handle in the up position while on the ground.
Flaps up or Appr and one or both power levers below 79% N1.
Any gear is not in the fully retracted position.
Flaps beyond Appr with gear up.
What configuration will not allow you to silence the gear horn?
Gear up, flaps greater than appr.
How is the manual gear extension engaged?
Gear handle down
Landing gear circuit breaker pulled
Hand pump lever un-stowed
