What are deltas and how are they formed?
Islands form between the rivers from deposition of sediment.
What are v-shaped valleys?
Rain creates erosion and the further down, the bigger the valley from all the rain. It is vertical erosion.
What are meanders and oxbow lakes?
Oxbow lakes are where the deposition and erosion cute off a meander in the course of thousands of years. Erosion makes the meanders curved.
How are waterfalls formed?
Waterfalls are made from vertical erosion of soft rock beneath the water. Once the waterfall is made the soft rock behind it will erode and soon the waterfall will will travel backward.
What are flood plains and levees?
Levees are the rubble that are deposited at the sides of the river in flooding. Floodplain are the areas around the river that get flooded in a flood.
