An enamelling technique in which troughs or cells are carved, etched, die struck or cast into the surface of a metal object and filled with vitreous enamel.

Lost-Wax Casting
A
Process of creating a wax model of the object being made. The wax is sculpted into the desired form and plaster is poured into a box to create a mould. The wax is melted away to leave a hollow chamber in the middle. Liquid metal is poured in and set and the mould is opened and the piece can be removed.
