- Conduct outside survey with OV.

- Check the condition of the hallway on the top floor, and all stairways leading to the roof for the presence of smoke and victims

- Ensure ALL Elevators are recalled and searched
- Control vent in areas other than the Fire Apt as directed by the IC
- Search of public hall and maintain the evac stair doors closed on the fire floor.
- Search of attack stair 5 floors above Fire Floor

- If no outside ops, secure another fireman service elevator
- If no fireman service, team up with inside team.
- If building has service elevator that can be safely used, notify IC and operate w/ building personnel.

- If LSR or WCD ops in progress, assist w/ same

- Generally used to conduct searches of stairways and hallways above the fire sector w/ SAE Group Supervisor.

- For TOP FLOOR FIRE, raise aerial to roof of exposure for roof and OV who will be going to roof of fire bldg.

- Assist LCC in front if need for laddering or rescue
- Check rear
- When unable to team up in rear, return to front to VEIS top floor w/ LCC
- Take saw to roof for top floor fire.

Peaked Roof PD (Portable Ladder Ops) - 1st Due Roof / OV Team

- Notify IC and initiate removal of window bars
- Bring Portable ladder, 6’ Halligan Hook and/or Halligan for each member.

- Team w/ 2nd LCC and VEIS

- If an aerial ladder rescue is needed, communicate and task to the 2nd arriving ladder.

- 1st Ladder gains access to fire area via interior stairs
- If conditions prevent access to cellar via interior stairs, communicate to 2nd Ladder & IC
- Remain w/ 1st hoseline on floor above searching for life and extention
- 2nd Ladder will gain access to fire area via alternate means w/ 2nd hoseline.

- Ladder Front of Building
- Provide ventilation by opening up sidewalk access points
- REMAIN in front of building available to reposition ladders as needed
