What are the general steps for cleaning labware?
A
- washed w/ lab detergent / rinsed
- rinsed several times w/ tap water then 2-3 times with distilled water
- pipets wash in pipet washer
- after washing, all labware must dry on rack or drying oven.

Why is it important to use extremely clean labware?
A
- for test results to be accurate, all labware must be free from chemical residue / detergents / contaminating solutions.

A
- in a puncture resistant containers

What does a frosted band around the top of a manual pipet indicate?
A
- the last drop left in the pipet needs to be forced out. every drop counts.
