labs test 2 and SAE answers Flashcards
what do the p values represent in the chi square
large p value - any differences between observed and actual value are small and may be due to chance
small p value - significant difference between observed and expected values so observed data does not fit distribution well
what do chromosomes form during prophase I in meiosis
bivalents - homologous chromosomes pair up
what occurs during G1 phase
Each chromosome consists of a single double-stranded DNA molecule (unreplicated). cellular contens excluding chromosomes duplicates
what occurs during G2 phase
Chromosomes remain as replicated double-stranded DNA molecules, with two identical sister chromatids per chromosome. cell double checks these chromosomes for error
what occurs during S phase
DNA replication occurs, resulting in each chromosome now having two identical sister chromatids, each made of double-stranded DNA.
