A

Molding: sutures/fontanelles adapt

Station: ischial spine= zero station
Below spine= positive

A

A

Slowing down by 15 beats before returning to norml

A

A

What are Early Decelerations?

A

Fetal HR drops right before start or peak of contractions

Normal: head is compressed into birth canal

What is a Late Deceleration?

A

At least 15 beats= placental insufficiency.

Serious decrease in perfusion to baby!!

Tx= place on left, apply Oxygen, possibly stop pitocin, call provider
