Lab practical conditions Flashcards
Adhesive Capsulitis
Development of dense adhesions, capsular thickening, and capsular restrictions, especially in the dependent folds of the capsule, rather than arthritic changes in the cartilage and bone, as seen with RA or OA.
Onset occurs at 40years-65 years.
4 stages.
Bicipital Tendonitis
The lesion involves the long tendon of the biceps muscle in the Biciptal Groove beneath or just distal to the transverse numeral ligament. Pain occurs with Speed’s test and on palpation of the bicipital groove. Rupture or dislocation if the biceps tendon may compromise its role as a humedal depressor during arm elevation, promoting impingement of tissues in the suprahumeral space.
Rotator Cuff Tear
Total Shoulder Arthroplasty
