PSA MSA ASA Greater Palatine Nasopalatine Infraorbital V2
What does the PSA serve?
Mx Molars and buccal soft tissue
except the MB root of 1st Molar
What is the location of the PSA block?
Height of the buccal fold adjacent to the Mx 2nd Molar
Needle should be 45 degrees medial superior and posterior
What does the MSA serve?
Premolars and the MB root of the 1st Molar and adjacent soft tissues
What is the location of the MSA block
Just anterior to the 2nd molar
Needle should be above and parallel to the long axis of the teeth
What does the ASA serve?
Anterior teeth and labial soft tissue
What is the location of the ASA block?
Near apex of Canine
Needle should be parallel to the long axis of the teeth
What does the greater palatine nerve serve?
Palatal tissue to the midline posterior to the canine
What is the location of the greater palatine block?
Near the greater palatine foramen, at the height of the palate adjacent to the 2nd molar
What does the nasopalatine nerve serve?
Anterior palate
Location of the nasopalatine nerve block
adjacent to or into the incisive papilla
