LAB 7 Flashcards
Joint type, articulation and movement: Sternoclavicular
Saddle joint
It articulates the sternal end of the clavicle with the manubrium of the sternum.
It causes up/down + ant/post scapular + clavicle movement.
Joint type, articulation and movement: acromial clavicular
Plane joint
protraction-retraction, elevation-depression, and axial rotation.
Acromial end articulates with the scapula acromian
Pec major movement
adducts, medially rotates, and transversely adducts arm at glenohumeral joint.
Trapezius movement
trapezius elevates, depresses, and retracts the scapula
Lats movement
internal rotation, adduction and extension of the arm
Delts movement
Arm abduction, which means raising your arm out to the side of your body.
Glenohumeral joint type, location and movement
ball and socket
glenoid fossa of scapula and humeral head
circumduction, rotation
