where will LA infiltration work?
on thin porous bone
where will it be difficult for LA infiltration to work?
thicker bone, divergent roots
where will LA infiltration fail to work?
where there is very dense outer cortical bone
3 areas where infiltration anaesthesia is useful?
upper teeth
lower incisors
occasionally lower canines
one area where infiltration anaesthesia is difficult?
upper 1st molars
on which teeth do infiltration anaesthesia normally not work on?
how can you overcome this?
- lower molars and premolars
- use articaine (increased evidence that it works on lower posteriors)

while delivering injection….
