It was the tallest structure in the world, until the completion of the

had started around 1200 in Romanesque style & continued in 1230 in Gothic style.
Tower (118 m.) is the only Gothic church tower in Germany that was completed in the Middle Ages (1330).
Its tower has 16 bells, the oldest being the “Hosanna” bell from 1258

REGENSBURG CATHEDRAL
Lutheran church. Although sometimes referred to as Ulm Cathedral because of its great size, the church is not a cathedral as it has never been the seat of a bishop.
It was also the tallest building in the world from 1890-1901.
It is the tallest church in the world, with a steeple measuring 160.9 m.
Its spire staircase has 768 steps

FRAUENKIRCHE CATHEDRAL
a hall church & has become one of the city’s most recognizable symbols. It has been the place of some of Austria’s most historic moments, including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s 1791 Paupers Funeral. A glory of _______ Cathedral is its ornately patterned, richly coloured roof, 111 m. long & covered with 230,000 glazed tiles.
The roof is so steep that it is sufficiently cleaned by the rain alone and is seldom covered by snow.
ST. STEPHEN, VIENNA
was built by Mathias d’ Arras and Peter Parler in the Late Gothic style.
It contains the tombs of many Bohemian kings & was the coronation church of several Holy Roman Emperors
