- Gr born Jewish (Herschel Grynszpan) murdered ambassador, Ernst vom Rath bc sister face discrimination in Gr -> Nazi government using this op to seek justice and launch a night of antisemitic violence by ordering a multiple attacks on Jewish synagogues, business and shops b/w the 9-10 Nov 1938 = Kristallnacht (night of broke glass)
