Which muscles assist eyelid and eyebrow?
Orbicularis oculi, Muller muscle, frontalis, procerus, corrugator
What does the frontalis muscle do?
Lift eyebrow up
What does the procerus muscle do?
Pulls that part of the skin between eyebrows downwards, and contributes to an expression of anger. Its contraction can produce transverse wrinkles
What does the corrugator muscle do?
Wrinkles the forehead
How is the eyebrow raised?
Contraction of the frontalis muscle?
How is the eyebrow lowered?
Contraction of the orbital part of the orbicularis oculi
How does the eyebrow medially?
Contraction of the corrugator muscle
Which nerve innervates the eyebrows?
CN7 (facial nerve)
Which arteries supply the eyebrows?
Supraorbital and supratrochlear branches opthalmic artery
Which branch of the facial nerve (CN7) innervates the orbicularis muscle
Upper, temporal, and upper zygomatic branch - lower, lower zygomatic branch
Which branch of the facial nerve (CN7) innervates the frontalis muscle?
Posterior auricular and temporal branches

Superior buccal branch

CNV (5) - Trigeminal, predominantly the opthalmic branch.

CNV - 5 - Trigeminal, mainly maxillary branch, some opthalmic branch
