Qualitative and quantitative definitions

A

Qualitative data or Categorical data(not numerical)

Quantitative data or Numerical data(numbers only)

Nominal data
It cannot be ordered and measured.
Examples:
Eye color, housing style, gender, hair color, religion, marital status, ethnicity, etc

Ordinal data
Predetermined or natural order.
Examples:
Economic status, customer satisfaction, education level, letter grades, etc

Continuous data
>Data that can have decimals
>countless(infinite)
Examples:
-Height of person,
-Temperature

Discrete data
>Data that involves integers
>Countable
