L1 Flashcards
Qualitative and quantitative definitions
Qualitative data or Categorical data(not numerical)
Quantitative data or Numerical data(numbers only)
Nominal data
It cannot be ordered and measured.
Examples:
Eye color, housing style, gender, hair color, religion, marital status, ethnicity, etc
Ordinal data
Predetermined or natural order.
Examples:
Economic status, customer satisfaction, education level, letter grades, etc
Continuous data
>Data that can have decimals
>countless(infinite)
Examples:
-Height of person,
-Temperature
Discrete data
>Data that involves integers
>Countable
Examples
-balsfdjsl
how are quantitative continuous and discrete data the same and diff
How are they similar?
-Numerical data
How are they different?
-Infinite values or real numbers
-finite number of values within a range
How are qualitative ordinal and nominal data diff and the same
Similar
Data where numbers can be assigned but have no significant calculations
different
-Nominal data has no value or order
-Ordinal data can have order but no meaning
