What happened during the Lindisfarne raid?
Why was it raided?
The monastery was attacked & destroyed, goods were stolen.
The vikings believed in many different gods, thor was the god of war so the workings had no respect for christian monasteries/monks. Also for their own wealth.
What happened during the Rouen raid?
Why was it raided?
The vikings attacked the city, sparing no lives and stealing treasures.
They knew it was basically unprotected and so used that as an opportunity to gain wealth.
What happened during the Seville raid?
Why was it raided?
Hundreds of vikings rushed into the city, attacking, taking captives. Muslim defenders held their ground using their army to launch counter-attacks, successfully breaking blockade forcing them to retreat.
The vikings tried to conquer Seville.
