Q

How did this create tension in the Korean War?

A

This created tension as the Korean War demonstrated USAs commitment to contain communism. This is also the first proxy war where USSR and USA are fighting indirectly. This is shown as the USA providing troops to the UN and USSR are supplying China with resources. Both sides didn’t want to risk war with full military engagement from the development of nuclear weapons.
