Indefinite Articles
There is no equivalent in Hassaniya to the English indefinite article “a “. Thus a noun standing alone is automatically indefinite.
Definite Articles ‘’The’’
For Moon Letters: / il / is prefixed to the noun
For Sun Letters: the / L / of ال is assimilated and replaced by a doubling in pronunciation of the first letter of the word, i.e. the / L / of ال is dropped in pronunciation
