Annotation on/off
Comments on/off
Annotation or comments maybe entered on the screen
Erease/clear/clear screen
Erase all these are entered annotations from where the cursor is located.
Backspace
Erase the last character to the left of the cursor
New patient key/end current patient key
Weirs current patient ID, graphics, stored images, and comments. Allows for new patient
Transducer/probe button
Select different transducers/probes
Imaging preset
Select an appropriate imaging preset as a starting point for pre-programmed imaging parameters.
This is the starting point in which the examination will be performed
Frequency
Select imaging frequency based on patient anatomy and type of exam.
Better tissue resolution of superficial structures is attenuated with higher frequencies. Lower imaging frequency is used for different structures, but image definition for more superficial structures will be lost
Depth
Select imaging depth of 2D overall gain
Adjust image size
TGC
Equalize differences in received echo amplitudes due to reflector strength. Returning echoes from deep in the body are amplified so information on deeper structures can be received
TGC curve
Display TGC information. The shape of the TGC’s curve is affected by the TGC setting. TGC curd is located birthday clean on the right side of the ultrasound image on the screen
Focal zone position
Focal zone number
Position the focals him to the desired scanned up. Ads or removes additional focal zones.
Dual image and/or left or right key.
Display two images side-by-side for comparison. Image measurements can be compared
Image direction
Reverse the scan direction of the displayed image. Image will change from either a right to left direction or up and down direction
Freeze key
Freeze image and to spend real time. Press button again to unfreeze image and resume in real time. After image is stored measurements and calculations to be performed
Cine loop
Store recently scanned image frames into system memory before freeze Kim is depressed. Images can be reviewed by sonographer during this control
