- Sudden twisting with DECELERATION that cause tear S&S: - Popping felt-heard - The knee gives away- instability DX: - XRay and MRI - Lachman maneuver/anterior drawer test TX: -NSAIDs - RICE - Crutches - PT

A
- Impact to front of tibia with flexed knee/forced hyperextension
- Takes more force to tear
S&S: - Pain, swelling and limited ROM
DX: - XRay and MRI
- Post drawer test
TX: - Same as anterior

A
- Sudden external force S&S: - Point tenderness medially - Minimal effusion DX: - XRay and MRI - Valgus stress: bring the knee IN TX: Same

A
- Inernal force S&S: - PCL injury DX: Varus stress: bring knee OUT

Meniscal tear
A
- Sudden pain after quick twist or squat S&S: - Locking and limited ROM - Swelling - Knee feels stuck DX: - MCMurray's: knee ROM while holding ankle- feel the pop - Apley's compression: downward compression and taking off weight if there is pain: ligamente to rule out meniscus
