Origin: Lateral side of linea aspera and greater trochanter

Origin: Anterior shaft of femur
Insertion: Tibial tuberosity

Bicep Femoris
Origin: Ischial tuberosity and linea aspera
Insertion: Head of fibula
Function: Extends hip, flexes and externally rotates flexed knee
Semitendinosus
Origin: Ischial tuberosity
Insertion: Below medial condyle of tibia
Function: Extends hip, flexes and internally rotates knee
Semimembranosus
Origin: Ischial tuberosity
Insertion: Posterior aspect of medial tibial condyle
Function: Extends hip, flexes and internally rotates knee
