Vineyard Description:
Kistler’s portion of the vineyard is a MARINE LOAM heavily influenced by a stony vein that transects our blocks.
Wine Style:
Produces a Chardonnay with lovely WEIGHTED BASE TONES, tones of sun kissed orchard fruit and a sublime RICH NATURE that is consistently threaded with and supported by an ENERGETIC ACID CORE.

Planted in the sand driven GOLD RIDGE soil.
Wine Style:
A Chardonnay of PRECISION, with focused, structural acids threaded through a body of delicate orchard fruit tones topped by SOIL DRIVEN AROMATICS.

Rare mix of VOLCANIC SOILS & MARINE SEDIMENT soils combine at the surface.
Wine Style:
Produces a Chardonnay of GREAT DEPTH, concentration and ELEGANCE; notable for its high pitched pure yellow orchard fruit, iodine and a beeswax-like SAVORY character.

Wine Style:
Produces a classically well poised MID-WEIGHTED Chardonnay without being heavy; threaded with salient natural acids and a bouquet of green stone and orchard fruit skins and a CRUSHED OYSTER SHELL-LIKE MINERALITY.

Wine Style:
The Kistler Vineyard Chardonnay has DELICATE & BRIGHT lifted stone fruit and FAINTLY FLORAL like tones, like its McCrea cousin, yet also a firmer nature with a stronger core and added layers of texture.

Vineyard Description:
From one specific block at the Kistler Vineyard, the only section of the vineyard that has a broken shale uplift that dominates the red volcanics and faces the afternoon sun.

Produces one of our most classic, complex and complete chardonnays and nears perfection on an annual basis.

Vineyard Description:
Sits on layers of sandstone, granular sediments and shards of petrified wood.
- Only site that both Chard and Pinot Noir are made from.
Wine Style:
Produces a Chardonnay of extraordinary expression, precision and beauty marked by bold aromas of yellow citrus rind, roasted hazelnuts and hints of petrol and beeswax and a sanguine, lasting finish.

Vineyard Description:
Volcanic and limestone mixed soil - rare for Sonoma Mountain.

Wine Style:
Produces one of our more elegantly scented Chardonnays, perfumed by delicate morning floral and citrus blossom aromas, leading to a chalk like, subtle, ethereal core of fruit and lovely acidity.

Vineyard Description:
Marine loam threaded with cobblestone soils.
- Planted on a different rootstock than Durrel
Wine Style:
Provides a leaner cut than Durrel.
Produces a wine that strikes an impeccable balance between its minerality, its green orchard fruit reminiscent core and its silken, persistent finish.

Describe Trenton Roadhouse Vineyard

Vineyard Description:
Straddling a south facing hilltop and comprised of Gold ridge soils.
- Similar to Vine Hill and Dutton vineyards, but the finest grained sand of any of those sites.
Wine Style:
Produces a soil influenced wine of resounding minerality and complex earthy sulfides which stand above the green toned orchard fruit notes.

Vineyard Description:
Planted in a pure sand subset of Gold Ridge soil.
Wine Style:
A Chardonnay of delineated concentration, energy and verve with stone and orchard fruit toned aromas capped by a penetrating minerality. One of our best examples of the tension that can be created between density and lift.
