What happened at the Battle of Bouvines?
King John attacked France with the help of Germany but lost many soldiers, the battle & all of the land England owned in France.

What happened to Arthur of Brittany?
King John murdered him in a drunken rage in 1202 which caused the French to make England a long time enemy.
What effect did King John have on the Church of England?
He denied the wishes of Innocent III when he wanted to increase the power of the church in England. This caused Innocent to order an Interdict (all priests were prevented from doing anything)
How did King John retaliate against the Interdict?
Confiscated the churches land which made money
Caused Innocent III to excommunicate King John (send him to hell)
How was King John depicted?
Normally seen with a crooked crown to indicate he was a terrible ruler
