The woman crippled for 18 years
Sabbath day, Jesus teaching in synagogue, possessed woman came looking to be healed, he healed her
Synagogue leader said to people, there are 6 days for work so come on those days
Jesus said, you hypocrites, don’t each of you walk your donkey out and give it water on the sabbath?, so why should this woman crippled for 18 years not be healed?
His opponents were humiliated, the people were delighted with his good work
The centurions servant
Centurion had a sick servant who meant a lot to him, he sent out for Jesus, the reached him and explained he built the synagogue and loved his country
Jesus went with them, he neared the house when centurions friends came out and said, Lord do not trouble yourself for I am not worthy for you to come,
He explained, his soldiers carried out all his commands and had faith
Jesus turned round and told the crowd, not even in Israel have I found this faith.
They returned to the house and he was healed
The mustard seed
Jesus said another parable, the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, man took and planted in his field
Though it’s the smallest of seeds
It grows to be the largest of plants and trees there is
So the birds come out and perch on its branches
