Lear meets kent disguised as cauis and shows concern for him - anyone has the ability to learn

begins to reflect on his actions as king as he is a representation of god but he let the poor people in his kingdom suffer - developes social awareness
Lear 3.4 - “those pelican daughter”
Zoomorphic imagery due to their vicious nature - killing him with their own hands similar to old beliefs of the pelican
Cordelia 4.4 - “He that helps him, take all my outward worth”
Cordelia shows how she is the opposite of her sisters and hen is willing to give up everything she has to save her father who abandoned her
Lear 4.7 - “If you have poison for me, i will drink it”
Lear expressing his regret to cordelia for banishing her. Lear lowering himself below his daughter puts emphasis on his character development throughout the play
