Killin Bitches Flashcards
The gunners triangle:
Target Heading Range Store Weapons engagement
The 5 tenants of the engagement process:
Detect Identify Decide Engage Assess
Target neutralization:
Neutralization knocks the target out of the battle temporarily. Ten percent or more casualties usually neutralize most units. The unit becomes effective again when casualties are replaced and equipment repaired.
Target destruction:
Destructive fires put the target out of action permanently. A unit with 30 percent or more casualties is usually rendered permanently ineffective, depending on the type and discipline of the force.
The 3 target effect standards:
Suppression, neutralization, and destruction
The 4 kill standards:

Firepower
combined mobility and firepower
Catastrophic
4 types of ballistics:
Interior
Exterior
Aerial
Terminal
Interior ballistics includes:
Barrel Wear, Launcher Tube Alignment, Thrust Misalignment, Propellant Charge, and Projectile Weight (BLTPP)
Exterior ballistics include:
Gravity, Air Resistance, Yaw, Projectile Drift, and Wind Drift
(GAYPW)
What two factors determine the amount of wind drift of a projectile?
Time of flight and Wind speed acting on the cross-sectional area of the projectile
