How can you launch Keynote?
Click on Keynote icon in the dock.
From GO menu, choose applications and then click on Keynote.
Click on Spotlight and begin typing the word “Keynote”. Choose Keynote from list that comes up.
How do you “fit in window”?
Choose “fit in window” from Zoom box in Menu bar.
When opening a Keynote presentation you have worked on in Finder, how can you take a quick look at it?
Click on the navigation buttons on thumbnail in the finder window.
How can you increase the size of the thumb nails on the slide navigator for Keynote?
Drag the dividing line right or left.
The default view of Keynote contains the slide navigator on the left hand side. How can you make the default view only the current slide?
Choose Slide only in View box in menu.
What is a good view to reorder slides?
Choose “light table” from View menu.
How can you choose a slide by text content?
Choose “outline” from View menu.
If you plan to present your Keynote presentation on a screen, why is choosing aspect important?
At the top of the “Choose a Theme” window, choose “wide”. Your presentation will now be the same proportion or aspect as a screen.
After you choose a new theme, what options do you have and where do you choose them?
In “slide layout” choose “change master”.
Why is “fit in window” important?
The entire slide will be in window.
How do you add a new slide?
Go to top left of menu bar and choose + icon.

What is the relationship between themes and master slides
You choose a general theme for your presentation from the theme chooser. The chosen theme will show up in the slide navigator as a series of master slides you can then customize to your presentation.
What is the difference in editing a single slide and a master slide?
Editing a single slide will only effect the appearance of that slide. Editing a master slide will effect the appearance of all slides based on that master.
Is there a master of master slides?
No, each master slide in a them must be edited.
How do you add images to a slide?
Go to insert menu and then click on choose and chose item from finder window.
If you want to revert to original version of a master, how can you do it? i.e. you do not like a choice you made.
Go to format menu and choose reapply master to selection.
How can you choose to “edit master slide” two ways?
Choose “edit master slide” from view box and the view window.
How do you position a “media place holder?
While “Edit Master Slide” is chosen under inspector, choose the item by going to insert menu and click on choose. From the finder window that opens find your item and click on it. It will appear on slide. You can now handle it. The inspector will change and you can select
