A priori.
Based on reason and logic. Innate knowledge.
A posteriori.
Based on observations and experience.
Predicate.
A characteristic or quality of something.
Body apparatus.
The body senses: senses, eyes, ears. A priori argument.
Analytic statements.
Logically true eg a triangle has 3 sides. Nothing new is gained from the statement.
Synthetic statements.
Something is gained from the observation. Not always true and can be flawed.
Fallacies.
Criticisms based on logic βto deceive.β Mistaken beliefs.
Deductive arguments.
Starts with general idea, then gets more specific. All men are mortal, Aristotle was a man, Aristotle was mortal. If the premises are true, the end must be.
Apodictic certainty.
Absolute and undeniable certainty.
