- excessive emotional response which during a sporting event would be an inappropriate way to deal with situations
- could be seen as biological as they do not seem to learn from punishment
- In football it has been found some will even bit others to show dominance
- Biological explanation may be an issue as it seems some sport players are unable to stop aggression as it is their instinctive behaviour
