A
Is children’s behaviour affected by what they see and hear in the media (media violence)

Social learning theory
A
- possible for children to observe and imitate what they see and hear in the media
- role models on tv will display a certain behaviour and children will therefore they will pay attention to this behaviour, retain the info, reproduce the behaviour and be motivated to imitate it

Bandura, Ross and Ross (1961)
A
- bobo doll study demonstrated SLT when they found that children that observed and adult playing with a bobo doll aggressively, they imitated that behaviour

Operant conditioning
A
- if children are not punished or negatively reinforced on violent behaviour from an early age then the behaviour may continue
- if the child is positively reinforced to become aggressive from their parents then they are more likely to be aggressive
