-in recent years the reliability has come into question

- applicants may respond based on their perception of ‘ideal’
-suggests they lack reliability

- issues with conforming when answering questions based on organisations expectations

-suggests perspective can be harmful to individual when it causes them to conform
Social exchange perspective creates happier working environment

-close relationships can increase team work and efficiency also create a happier working environment as different perspectives considered

- employer and applicants perspective of job previews are highly important and can be harmful to the indivdual if not accurate
- applicants perspective unimportant in psychometric test as ideal is fixed and if their perspective is focussed on too much it can be harmful as they begin to change
