This part of the revolution is not an event but rather the achievement accomplish by George Washington during the years between 1777 and 1781
The most difficult time is perhaps in winter of 1777/78 when the arm is in winter quarters at valley forge, Pennsylvania because the army has little food or supplies. As an example soldiers go without shoes, a smallpox epedimic kills many people.
