- Distinctive groups of youths, within the wider youth culture, who stand out in terms of their style, dress, music taste and attitudes

Delinquent subcultures
A
- Subcultures involved in deviant behaviour, which is not necessarily criminal (e.g: joyriding, vandalism)

A
- Subcultures that are actively involved in criminal behaviour, which may be organised (e.g; drug-dealing, protection rackets)

Gangs
A
- Groups of people who regularly associate together
- Media=groups who cause harm to the community and are involved in persistent criminality
- Often has a name, leader, hierarchy, set of rules

A
- Groups of pupils who reject norms and values of school, and reverse them (e.g. seen as negative to do well, complete homework, achieve good grades)
