Behaviourists believe that our social environment can influence our behaviour.
This learning approach assumes that our behaviour is caused by nurture rather than nature.

The law of effect: frequency of the behaviour is determined by the consequences of the action.
The law of exercise: the connection between an action and a consequence is stronger if they have been connected a number of times.
