Obtain energy by eating the primary consumers.

Why might this food chain produce an irregular pyramid of numbers: oak tree -> greenfly -> ladybird -> blue tit?
The oak tree is a single large producer. Resulting in a small bar at the bottom of the pyramid.

The biomass of organisms present at each link in the food chain.
What does a pyramid of energy show?
