A
- 2nd line agent for severe traumatic pain post 200mcg fentanyl administration
- 1st line agent severe traumatic pain if no other administration available
- 1st line agent severely disturbed/abnormal behaviour RASS 4
- combative TBI

Route dose and Dilution for:
2nd line agent for severe traumatic pain post 200mcg fentanyl administration
A
IV
5-20mg titrated (1-2ml) - repeat 5-10mg every 10 mins
Dilute with 18mls NaCl to make 20mg/ml

1st line agent severe traumatic pain if no other administration available

IM
1mg/kg (max 100mg)
repeat 0.5mg/kg every 5min

4mg/Kg (max 400mg) - repeat IV maintenance 0.5mg/kg every 5 mins
