Where does karma yoga come from?
In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna told Arjuna that an action done out of duty and with no attachment has no karmic effects and is the best path to liberation.
What is karma yoga?
The yoga of selfless actions, it purifies the heart through acting selflessly without desire for an end or a gain.
What is right attitude?
Acting as a participant in the cosmic activity of nature without any expectation of personal gain allows your actions to become part of the ineffable goodness living in all beings.
What is right motive
When an action is done with no expectation of reward, it become liberating. Karma yoga can be practiced at all times and under all conditions.
What is opening to self?
Accepting you are only an instrument and that the inner peace is working through you allows you to become in tune with the infinite, freeing yourself from the bonds of karma.
What is serving the self in all?
By detaching oneself from the fruits of one’s actions, you learn to sublimate the ego, you become humble, free and rejoice in the welfare of others.
What is good about karma yoga?
It is developed and achieved without having to renounce the world, it allows spiritual progress in the face of life’s many challenges and gives meaning to life.
What else is good about karma yoga?
It brings about the perfection of human nature and encourages characteristics like selflessness and right attitude, it involves every aspect of life and is not just concerned with specialized religious practices.
What is bad about karma yoga?
Too focused on worldly concerns, thus distracting you from the spiritual path, it is more desirable to completely disconnect from family and material possessions.
Who famously advocated karma yoga?
Gandhi, he demonstrated the path to its fullest extent and demonstrated the power of selfless action.
