These natural functions of the sweat are utilized for therapeutic purposes in the Svedana
procedure.

Pratimarśa is a type of Nasya Karma in which a small amount of oil is instilled into the nostrils in
all the seasons.
Mātrā Vasti
Mātrā vasti is a type of sneha vasti, where a minimum quantity of sneha is administered (24ml-60
ml). It can be given without any complications. For doing mātrā vasti, pūrvakarmas are not required

Honey and saindhava salt are taken first and they are triturated; then the herbs like oil, herbal paste and decoction are mixed one by one till the achievement of the homogenous mixture.
