A study by Young Women’s Trust found that ¼ of mums between the ages of 18 and 30 skip meals everyday to feed their children. 50% skip meal at least once a week.
Studies suggest that compared to those living in the most affluent areas, adults living in Scotland’s most deprived areas are twice as likely to experience anxiety or depression.

However in 2019 the BBC reported that suicide rates for vets were 4 times the national average. This suggests that high paid jobs can be also associated with poor health. Vets experience higher levels of stress and suicide than many other progressions showing its not just those in poverty that suffer from poor mental health.
