What are some ethical issues in social work research
Voluntary participation and informed consent, no harm to participants, anonymity and confidentiality, deceiving participants, analysis and reporting
Define measurement

What is an indicator
An observation that we assume is evidence of the attributes or properties of some phenomenon
What is an item
Single indicator of a variable; many times the process of operationalizing a variable involves combining a number of items into a composite score called an index or scale
What is the difference between discrete and continuous variables
Discrete variables-a finite number of distinct and separate variables; nominal and ordinal variables are discrete: why. Continuous variables can take on a number of values; many variables at the interval and ratio level or continuous: age.
What is causal validity
Exists when we can make the conclusion that A to b (internal validity)
