A computer selects those on the role aged 18-70
What fraction is it of being called for jury service?
1/6 in his or her lifetime
How do they know that they have been chosen?
They will revive a jury summons through the post advising them that they have been chosen
How long should a person reply within to the jury?
7 days
What happens if someone doesn’t reply to the jury summons?
It is a criminal offence and can be punished with a fine up to £1,000

They must undergo jury service within the next 12 months
