The 9 justices judge cases brought to them, even though they reject 96% of the cases. The supreme court has the final say and that lasts forever. Only the court can reverse that decision. So it’s a big deal!
What does the Supreme Court decide?
They decide if a law goes against the constitution and what is constitutional. This is called Judicial Review.
If one of the justices think that the wrong decision was made…(Lily Ledbetter case)
then one of the can speak after the decision is announced and tell congress to make an amendment to the Constitution.
