The Jewish holy day that starts at sunset on Friday and ends on Saturday at sunset.

The Jewish rules or commandments.

The divine presence of god.
What is a rabbi?
A Jewish religious leader or teacher.
What is the messiah?
The leader of the Jews who will arrive on earth in the future.
What is the messianic age?
A time when people will be closer to god when the messiah arrives in peace.
What is monotheism?
The belief in only one god.
What is Talmud?
A commentary by the rabbis on the Torah. It consists of the mishma and germera together.
What is pikuach nefesh?
The obligation to save a life even if it means you break the Jewish law on Sabbath.

What is a covenant?
An agreement that occurs between individuals, often between god and Jews.
What is Sheol?
A place of darkness to which all the dead go, both the righteous and the unrighteous, regardless of the moral choices made in life.
