What is the Tenakh?
The ‘Jewish Bible’ that consists of 24 books grouped into three parts: 1. The Torah (Law - first 5 books), 2. Nebi’im (Prophets) 3. Ketium (writings)
What is the Tulmud?
The explanation of the Torah by the rabbis which is also called the ‘oral law’
What is the Torah and Talmud considered as by Orthadox Jews?
The source of all Jewish laws which affects their daily lives
What do Orthodox Jews do?
Strictly follow laws and practices in the Torah
What do Reform Jews believe?
Traditional Jewish laws should be interpreted to suit modern life
What does the Shema confirm?
There is one God who is single, whole, indivisile and eternal

What does God as the creator show about God?
God created all living things and he rested on the 7th day which makes it holy

People to follow, love and worship him as well as each other

How well they follow the laws he gave

Merciful and fair

All-powerful
