Three characteristics of God for Jews?
- God is a military leader- he will lead Jews into battle and victory.
- God is the creator- God is the creator of all living things.
- God is the Law-giver- God provided Jews with laws to be observed.

Two reasons why God being the ‘Creator’ is important to Jews?
- Humans were made in his image (Imago Dei).
2. Life is a gift from God and is sacred.
Three reasons why Jews would have the same beliefs about God being the Almighty?
- Orthodox Jews- Believe in one God.
- Jews believe God is the creator.
- Jews believe God is the Judge.
Three reasons why Jews would disagree about the belief in the Almighty?
- Non religious Jews~ Do not believe in God at all.
- Jews believe he is the creator but take the Creation Account literal.
- Jews may interpret God’s laws differently.
What is the Shekinah?
The presence of God.
Three ways in which Jews can experience the Shekhinah?
Come into contact with God
- Pray is synagogues.
- Home prayer- during Shabbat meal.
- Read the Tenakh and Talmud (Jewish scriptures).
Two ways where the Shekinah is present in the Bible?

1.God makes a Covenant with Moses.- to build Jewish temple.
2. Prophets had visions of God.
SWA: Moses is given the 613 commandments at Mount Sinai.

- Moses was given the 613 commandments.
- God gave Moses 10 commandments.
- Moses was given part of the Jewish scriptures (Torah).
Define Brit Milah?
Male Jews are circumcised around 13 years old.
Define Brit Bat?
Welcoming baby jewish girls into the faith.
Two reasons Brit Milah is important?
- Tradition from Abraham.
(Abraham was circumcised and God told Abraham to circumcise others, including his son: Isaac). - Shows physical Covenant between a Jew and God.
