What are the Four Marks Of The Church?
What do they stand for?
One- Christians believe in one faith and one God
Holy-Holy Spirit works through the Church
Apostolic- Apostles carried out the teachings

Why is the Trinity important for Catholics?
-Three persons in one God
Father is important because..-the creator. The Bible:’my father and your father’.
Son is important because.. -Jesus is the son of God and suffered for our sins.
Holy Spirit is important because…-Inspired by The Bible. Present at sacraments.
Different views on the Creation Account- literal & metaphorical.
Catholics, metaphorical- symbolises nature of the universe.
Creationists, literal- exactly telling how the works was created.
Creation story= historically true event.
Why is the Creation Story important for Catholics?
God is the creator- created the universe.
God is benevolent- ‘God saw light was good’ - Genesis.
God is omnipotent- God created the world in 7 days.
Eschatology- What had God given to humanity?
Free-will~ Choose right from wrong.
Conscience- Voice of God inside.
Give and receive love- give love to others.
What are two beliefs of The Trinity? (The Holy Spirit)
Holy Spirit was present at Jesus’ baptism.
The Trinity is three persons in one. Each is equally God.

Two historical beliefs in The Trinity?
- Two councils
Council of Nicea- Containe beliefs of Holy Spirit .
Council of Constantinople- Development of Nicean Creed. Says Holy Spirit is ‘fully God’.
Two meanings of stewardship for Catholics?
- Humans have complete control.
2. Humans have responsibility to protect the world.
Three aims of the funeral rite?
- Community brought together to pray for the descended.
- Priest reminds family that death is not the end. It is beginning of a new life.
- Community come together to support the family.
Vatican II- Three changes that happened because of Vatican II?
- The language was changed to the Parish’s own language
(Not just Latin). - Bishops encouraged to work together.
- The church began to work with other religions.
Two beliefs that came from believing the Church is One?
- The Church is inspired by The Holy Spirit.

How can sculptures & statues help Catholics understand God?
- Catholics can visualise Jesus as the Son of God.
- A focal point for prayer.
- Praying in front of statues is idol worship.
