What is the purpose of the sacred text in Judaism?
To tell adherents how to live their lives whilst following the ten commandments and their covenant with God.

Words and deeds of prophets. Describes Jew’s relationship with God and their history

The history of Jews and their actions within the covenant relationship with God. Tells through stories.
What are Psalms?
Writings in praise of God
What does Shema mean?
To hear or listen
What is Passover?
A major Jewish festival that celebrates Jewish liberation from slavery.
What is Sabbath?
Seventh day of the week Jews dedicate to rest and worship
What is mishnah?
Code of law previously only orally communicated
