What are Orthodox Jews?
Believe that the Torah is the literal Word of God. Believe tradition and following the commands of the Torah are important.
What are liberal and reform Jews?
Believe the Torah is the inspired Word of God.
What are different names for God?
El Shaddai - God Almighty
El - a powerful and mighty God
Hashem - The Name
What is the Shekinah?
The divine presence of God.
How is the divine presence of God felt by Jews?
Through the study of the Tenakh and Talmud, worship and prayer.
What is a minyan?
A group of 10 adults over the age of 13. When Jews pray in a community they believe that God is present.

What is the Messianic Age?
The time when the Messiah will rule.
What does Messiah mean?
Messiah means anointed one.
“He will rebuild the Temple” Jeremiah 33:18
Some believe God has a set date to come and some believe the Messiah will come when most needed or most deserved.
What does Brit Olam mean?
Means everlasting covenant which shows Jews that God will not break the covenant.
Why is the covenant at Sinai important?
It is where the Jewish people entered into a covenant with God after Moses led them out of slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land.
The Law of the Torah is still followed today (the most important part of the Tenakh)
Those who do not follow the law will be punished.
