- What is the part of the small intestine the small intestine couldn’t work without?
The Duodenum of the small intestine. The pancrease which produces enzymes that aid chemical digestion. Without those enzymes chemical digestion could not be completed so the small intestine would be unable to absorb small nutrients.

- What are the little structures that absorb nutrient in the small intestine?
The structures are villi. Nutrient molecules pass into cells on the surface of villus and from there into blood vessels. The villi provide a large surface area for absorption.
