John Hopkins Lean Sigma Green Belt Course Flashcards
What are the seven wastes of healthcare?
Defects, Over Production, Motion, Over Processing, Waiting, Inventory, Transportation
Providers spend 2/3 of their time on what?
Documenting, searching, and clarifying.
What is the DMAIC methodology?
Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control
What is DPMO?
Defects Per Million Opportunities
What is Mode?
The most frequent data point.
What is the median?
The middle value of a data set.
What is the 50%-tile rank
The Median.
In a normal distribution, what is the mean value and variance?
Mean value is zero and variance is one.
Normal Distribution is described by which two terms:
mean, standard deviation
What is RTY?
Rolled Throughput Yield (The combined yield/output of th e combined process steps)
What is CTQ?
Critical To Quality characteristic (characteristics of a process and/or Deliverables from that process which Fulfill Critical Customer Requirements.
What is “Y”?
The defect, the problem.
What is “X”?
A function of Y….all the variables that contribute to Y.
What is SIPOC?
Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs, Customers
What are the other names of sigma?
Process, Sigma, Short Term Capability, Z, Process Z, Z Short Term (Z.ST), Z Bench (Overall Capability
What is “MSA”?
Measurement System Analysis
What is LT?
Lead Time: time to complete a product or service from start to finish.
What is “CT”?
Cycle time is the time to perform all work elements within a particular process step on a single item. (could include non-value added time as well).
What is TPCT?
Total Process Cycle Time: Sum of Cycle Times for all process steps within the Value Stream.
Takt Time?
Avaliable work time/demand.
What is cycle efficiency?
Measure of efficient time usage within a process. Calculate by dividing the total of value-Added times by the Observed lead time.
